Little Catch started as a fishmonger in the former French concession back in 2015. The Huang sisters, Jiayi and Wenyi (read an
interview with them from way back), were inspired by their summers in Hawaii, and decided to expand their offerings with poke bowls; the former is a professional chef who has trained in Paris and worked in premier establishments in Hong Kong and Paris.
The sisters belong to the third generation of a seafood family business and know that freshness is key to a good poke bowl, a deceptively simple dish. They pride themselves on using only the highest quality ingredients, cutting their sashimi-grade fish daily and making everything else from scratch. House-brewed kombucha, fresh juices, and seasonal small plates are also available to round out your meal.
TIME OUT TIP: Little Catch also hosts pop-ups and collaborations in their second-floor space overlooking Yanping Road. Follow them on Instagram (
