Rebuilt from the old Baidu coal bunker, Modern Art Museum Shanghai is another successful case study of transforming industrial buildings into exhibition space. The museum took pride in its artful retention of this otherwise abandoned riverside industrial architecture. Since its opening in December 2016, the exhibitions have an emphasis on the importance of design and art in life. From the Divine Michelangelo exhibition, to Doboku: Civil Engineering; from Giorgio de Chirrido & Giorgio Morandi to 'Hello, my name is Paul Smith'; from Jaime Hayon to L'effet Quebec, Modern Art Museum Shanghai continues to present exhibitions of excellent quality.
