Rong Zhai is part of Prada's conservation efforts in Jingan, Shanghai. Directly translated to Rong's Residence, the mansion was built in 1918, belonging to famous Chinese industrialist and national capitalist Rong Zongjing. Rong and his brother, Rong Desheng, were from Wuxi, China. They were crowned the King of Flour and Textile after they set up the industries in Shanghai and created jobs for people in the 20th century.

Prada brought together a team of Italian and Chinese craftsmen and architecture to work together to restore the mansion to its former glory. Together, they ensured restoration of the villa's interior and exterior design, as well as its structure. The 3-storey high mansion was reopened after a 6-year long project on 17th October 2017.

Today, the building is used for various activities such as events and exhibitions by Prada.
